It seeks new and different ways to address the unique challenges of those living in rural and remote areas, and to allow people living in rural and remote areas to be able to access the best possible information and services that support their mental health and wellbeing.

QCAL promotes literacy as the key to effective life-long learning for all. RHealth is a member-based general practice support organisation delivering innovative and dynamic health programs and services in rural and remote communities across Southern and South-West Queensland. At the 2007 Australian General Practice Network Forum RHealth was named AGPN 2007 Division of the Year.

The Rural Doctors Association of Queensland (RDAQ) was established in 1989 as the medical, political and industrial arm for Queensland rural doctors. It's a non-profit organisation and its main objective is the attainment of the highest standard of health care for people living in rural Queensland.

The Friendly Faces Helping Hands website has been developed by Kelly Foran from Boggabri in rural New South Wales. It provides information for rural families who travel to the city for treatment. You'll find information about affordable accommodation, parking, cafes & restaurants, supermarkets, petrol stations, florists, newsagents, hair salons and many more of the services you may find yourself looking for. It also includes links to support networks like Ronald McDonald House, Angel Flight etc. A poster is attached which can be printed in displayed in public areas. Kelly says the site is a work in progress and is being added to regularly. There's also a section where you can provide information or share your own experiences.

OnTrack will help you check if your health and wellbeing is really "on track" or not.

Mummy's Wish is a not-for-profit charity focusing on supporting mothers diagnosed with cancer while either pregnant or with young children in Queensland. It offers a range of support services for women and has a wealth of information in its online support directory.
